National Chi Nan University the 112th Academic Vehicle Pass Application Announcement
1. Application Target:
For the 112th academic year (August 1, 2023 to July 31, 2024), vehicle passes for faculty and staff (including part-time), alumni, residents of Puli, Yuchi, Guoxing, and Ren'ai townships who meet the application criteria, and vendors who frequently visit the campus, will be open for application starting from July 24th. Additionally, student applications will open from August 1st.
2. Payment and Issuance:
(1) faculty and staff, alumni, residents of the four townships, and vendors of the school:
1. The fee for each car is 800 New Taiwan Dollars, and for each motorcycle, it is 300 New Taiwan Dollars. Trucks (excluding passenger-cargo vehicles) are not charged.
2. Faculty and staff of the school should first pay at the payment machine (located in the Administration Building and the Library). Those renewing their pass should bring the receipt to the Affairs Team of the General Affairs Office for issuing the pass; new applicants should individually fill out the application form (Attachment 1), and attach the payment receipt, staff ID, vehicle registration, and driver's license (both originals and copies are acceptable, which will be returned after verification) to the Affairs Team for issuing the pass.
3. For faculty and staff of the school, if renewing for the same person and the same vehicle number, departments or units are advised to collectively complete the ‘Faculty and Staff Pass Renewal Roster’ (Attachment 2) and attach the payment receipt (vehicle registration and driver's license are not required) and submit it to the Affairs Team of the General Affairs Office for issuing the pass.
4. External personnel should fill out the application form (Attachments 3 and 4) and attach their driver's license and vehicle registration, then proceed directly to the Affairs Team of the General Affairs Office for payment and issuance of the pass.
(2) students:
1. The fee for each car is 700 New Taiwan Dollars, and for each motorcycle, it is 300 New Taiwan Dollars.
2. Please first complete the ‘Simplified School Affairs System - Application for this academic year's Car/Motorcycle Pass’ of our school.
3. After paying at the payment machine (located in the Administration Building and Library), attach the receipt, driver's license, vehicle registration, and compulsory insurance certificate (photos are acceptable, and those who have already uploaded these documents during the application process do not need to bring them) to the Student Safety and Counseling Center of the Student Affairs Office for issuing the pass.
4. If a student with a (middle) low-income household status applies for a motorcycle pass, they can receive a partial fee waiver. Please select the corresponding amount directly at the payment machine. The Student Safety and Counseling Center of the Student Affairs Office will verify the identity and issue the pass after confirming the status.
(Note 1) The fee to be paid is determined based on the status at the time of application, and there will be no additional charges or refunds due to changes in status within the academic year.
(Note 2) If you need to apply for a pass fee reduction or refund, please bring the payment receipt to the Student Safety and Counseling Center of the Student Affairs Office to fill out a form (Attachment 5), and refunds will be processed collectively in the following month.
3. Mode of Entry:
(1) Car passes use a license plate recognition system for entry.
(2) For motorcycle lane barrier machines, you need to swipe an EasyCard or iPASS (including the school's student ID or faculty/staff ID) to open it; non-school personnel who apply for a motorcycle pass must bring any EasyCard or iPASS to the Affairs Team of the General Affairs Office for registration.
(3) Our school also offers motorcycle eTag sensor-based access. You can apply for a sensor sticker by paying a 50 TWD processing fee (payment method is the same as described in point two). Once the sticker is appropriately placed on the motorcycle, it allows for sensor-based access. 4. Campus Grace Period:
Existing 111th academic year passes for the school's faculty, staff (including part-time), and students can continue to be used until the grace period ends on September 30, 2023. However, it is still recommended to apply for the new pass as soon as possible.
